P&H Construction Celebrates With Prestigious Top Award - 2008 HOBI Award
P&H Construction was honored with a HOBI 2008 award for the Best New Commercial Under $5MM- for the building of Long Ridge School Arts & Athletics wing in Stamford, CT.
NORWALK, CT, November 15, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- P&H Construction was honored with a HOBI 2008 award for the Best New Commercial Under $5MM- for the building of Long Ridge School Arts & Athletics wing in Stamford, CT.
The award was presented by the Home Builders Association of Connecticut (HBACT); the HBA of CT is a statewide professional trade organization representing home builders, remodelers, developers and many subcontractors, suppliers and professionals that provide service to the building industry.
The HOBIs are the state's most prestigious building award, recognizing excellence in new construction, land development, remodeling, sales and marketing, and home financing.
The award winning project was the construction of the Ridge School - Arts and Athletic Wing, which was constructed for just under $4MM. Derek Uhlman and Andrew Woznik were the project managers.
Long Ridge School is a private day school located on Erskine road in Stamford, CT. P&H Construction Group was commissioned to build a unique addition - a combined-use theater and gymnasium of 19,000 sqft.
With a bold and beautiful architectural design, the new Arts and Athletic Center at the Long Ridge School beautifully accommodates not only student shows and musical theater workshops, but also, special events- the Big Apple Circus recently returned for a second exclusive benefit performance previewing the of the Lincoln Center Big Apple Circus 31st season. More than 1500 children and adults were able to enjoy the circus up close and personal.
The Architect, Carl Mezoff, came up with a beautiful plan that incorporated many different geometric shapes and planes, and which was designed to leave many of the structural and mechanical components exposed adding further interest The finished structure is bright, airy and engaging, an excellent learning environment for children.
