William Showalter has successfully improved production planning and customer delivery, performance reduction inventory and forklift truck expenses

BROWNWOOD, TX, September 30, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bill Showalter, Supply Chain Staff Analyst for Kohler Company, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in production planning and supply chain analysis.

With more than three decades of professional experience, Mr. Showalter has cultivated his expertise in production planning, supply chain analysis and materials management. He serves a a supply chain analyst for Kohler Company, a leading manufacturer of plumbing fixtures and products. In his position, Mr. Showalter has successfully improved production planning, customer communications, reduced inventory over $200,000, and forklift truck expenses by $64,000 annually. He has also led project teams. Mr. Showalter negotiated a new forklift truck maintenance agreement saving over $55,000 annually. His numerous responsibilities include supervising three planners, buyers and one master scheduler using monthly process-oriented management tools to lead and motivate associates to accomplish company objectives. He has led weekly customer requirement meetings and created production capacity resulting in an increase in sales by 5.6% or $10M. Mr. Showalter has participated on a project management team tasked with improving customer delivery, plant efficiencies while reducing material handling damage, which resulted in savings of over $12M annually.

In recognition of his work, Mr. Showalter was recently named a VIP of the Year by Cambridge Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success. Mr. Showalter attributes his accomplishments to his passion for manufacturing, hard work, diligence, experience, education and meeting company goals.

Mr. Showalter earned an Executive MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management in 2003. He previously received a Bachelor of Science in finance and management from DePaul University. Always interested in furthering his expertise, he has completed several industry-related courses, including studies in production and inventory control, sales and operations planning and demand, improving productivity through people, and quality improvements. He also attained certification in production and inventory control and completed the Institute of Management, Inc.'s Principles of Management Series. In the years to come, Mr. Showalter intends to become a plant manager, hopefully in the Chicago area where his familiy lives.
